BANGALORE: This year the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) does not want to leave any corner unexplored and give scope for any complaints from its customers while forming new layouts or in constructing apartments. On Saturday, the BDA is holding a meeting with other civic agencies to discuss various issues including making comprehensive development plan (CDP) more people-friendly.

Speaking to this website’s newspaper, BDA Commissioner M K Shankarlinge Gowda said senior BDA officials and representatives from other stake holders will attend the meeting to be presided over by Principal Secretary (Energy) Dilip Rau. “The meeting is being held in order to discuss the CDP and chalk out specific plans and discuss minute details to make the CDP people-friendly. The highlight of the CDP this year will be the budget housing scheme, where apartments will be constructed under Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) in order to ensure better facilities to people along with safety,” he said. Gowda also added that at present the BDA was focussing on completion of the infrastructure projects, which were initiated last year, as they are the need of the hour.

“We are currently focussing at the completion of the Ramamurthinagar underpass. There has been a delay in the construction of the Magadi Road- West of Chord Road underpass, due to Metro Rail alignment. But the work toward Yeshwantpur is underway. BDA is working in co-ordination with Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) and will wait till the alignment is completed,” he added.
