Cantonment for corridor?

Cantonment for corridor?
The Times of India

Bangalore: The much-eyed Byappanahalli is off the track for the high-speed corridor from Byappanahalli to the Bangalore International Airport at Devanahalli. Cantonment it is now. To study how Byappanahalli may not turn out to be a feasible option and check other available options, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, DMRC, has been entrusted with the task of preparing a DPR (detailed project report) on the route for a link from Bangalore city to Devanahalli. Explain DMRC sources: “This link will be an elevated highway and a metro corridor. It was initially supposed to run from Byappanahalli to Devanahalli. We are now looking if Cantonment station could be a better option.’’
The airport link is a 30-km stretch covering the national highway, and linking it to the city will benefit air passengers. The DPR is slated to be ready in two months. However, infrastructure department sources say that availability of land may be a problem at Cantonment station.
