Mysore-bound buses to depart from satellite bus stand

Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation on Monday shifted the departure point of all buses travelling towards Mysore, from Kempegowda bus stand to Mysore Road Satellite bus stand. Buses plying to Bangalore from Mysore are also being stopped there.

Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation on Monday shifted the departure point of all buses travelling towards Mysore, from Kempegowda bus stand to Mysore Road Satellite bus stand. Buses plying to Bangalore from Mysore are also being stopped there.

Mini buses are being plied between Kempegowda bus stand and Satellite bus stand to help commuters travelling towards Mysore as well as those wishing to reach Kempegowda bus stand after alighting at the Satellite bus stand. The fare on the mini buses will be Rs 3 per seat. However, the fare on buses travelling towards Mysore will be reduced by Rs 3 to compensate the commuters.

Kempegowda bus stand Divisional Controller Prakash Babu said as many as 400 buses will now depart from the Satellite Bus stand, reducing congestion at Kempegowda bus stand considerably.

Direct trips to Bidadi, Ramanagaram, Channapatna, Mandya, Mysore, Talakad, Malemahadeshwara Hills, Madikeri and Melukote will operate from the new bus stand.

Additional boarding

In addition, boarding points for buses plying to Ooty, Coimbatore, Ernakulam, Thiruvananthapuram and Mangalore have been provided at the bus stand, he said.
