Film shooting holds up traffic on flyover

Film shooting holds up traffic on flyover

BANGALORE: Whether Kannada movies can hold crowds together or not is a debatable issue, but they certainly did while shooting a scene below Mysore road flyover on Friday morning.

Hundreds of motorists stopped their vehicles just to have a peep of a film sequence, bringing heavy traffic to a grinding halt for over an hour.

While the police were unaware of the shooting, the traffic police found it difficult to ease up the jam, which began around 10 am when some motorists parked their vehicles on the flyover to watch. Incidentally, the crew was shooting a sequence of vehicles entering the CAR police quarters on Mysore Road.

When they did not spot any stars, the motorists lingered on patiently and their numbers grew as many more stopped by. In no time, the entire stretch of the flyover from Mysore road towards Town Hall was blocked.

Though the shooting was taking place at the CAR quarters, the officials were unaware. The traffic movement was restored later.
