At last, the long standing demand to provide ‘parking space’ by the commuters and residents of Ashoknagar, has seen met.

From July 12 onwards, parking has been permitted on various cross roads in the area, says a release from the City Police Commissioner’s office.

Parking is allowed on: Handry Road from K H Road to Yellamma Dasappa Hospital Road, on the South side; from Yellamma Dasappa Road to Langford Road on the East side; Shanti Road from Handry Road to Nanjappa Road on the East side; Lakshmi Road from Shanti Road to Lakshmi Road 8th Cross on the North side; Lakshmi Road 5th Cross - Langford Road to Nanjappa Road on the West side; Basappa Road from K H Road to Lakshmi Road 8th Cross on the South side; Eagle Street from Langford Road to Christian graveyard Road on the East side; Shantinagar Main Road from Nanjappa Circle on Langford Road to Shantinagar Main Road's `A' cross, on the West side; Langford Cross Road - North Langford Road to South Langford Cross Road on the West side; Marcum Road from Brigade Road to Commercial Street on the North side; Primrose Road on the South side; Wellington Road from Richmond Road to House No 37, excluding Frank Anthony School, on the West side; Rehanees Road from Alexander Road Foodworld; no parking from Foodworld Road to Nanjappa Circle.
