Even as the final word is awaited from the court or the government on the building by-law and zonal norm violations in Koramangala, the residents of the area are preparing themselves for whatever the outcome - and that includes demolitions too.

The Koramangala Welfare Association, which has been taking up the cause of the residents on the issue has launched a door-to-door campaign to keep the people in the area updated on the issue.

Association members noted that during the campaign, the residents are being educated on how best to handle the situation if they receive the notices on violation (provisional and confirmatory orders) from the Bangalore Mahanagara Palike.

With the government making it known that it may rescue the situation by means of a legislation, the Association is now studying previous case instances in other cities, if any.

The BMP is meanwhile, going ahead with the survey of buildings as directed by the High Court.

Notices were issued to some owners on Monday and Tuesday, sources said.
