No cause for worry over Arkavathi: BDA

BBa anngga al loor re e: : The Bangalore Development Authority on Tuesday said there is no cause for concern on the future of Arkavathi project in the wake of Karnataka High Court passing a status quo order in respect of the disputed lands at the layout The BDA said since there is no stay on the implementation of the project, work will continue in full swing.

The BDA further said even the Supreme Court, which is hearing the special leave petition, had provided for continuation of the interim protection granted by the Division Bench of the High Court.

SSt taay y r re effu us se edd: : The Karnataka High Court on Tuesday refused to stay the order appointing an administrator to Bellary Corporation.

Justice Mohan Shanthan Goudar observed that prima facie it appears the government is justified in passing the order. CCoou ur rt t m moov ve edd: : A physically challenged candidate who was not allotted a seat in a professional college under the physically challenged quota has moved the Karnataka High Court.

Justice Mohan Shantanagouder ordered issue of notices to the State.
