Finding your way to Banashankari 24th cross will no longer be a difficult task. For, it has a new landmark, ‘Brindavana Udyanavana’, a park developed at a cost of Rs 62 lakh. The sprawling 2.5 acres of this land is estimated to cost Rs 25 crore.

The park, which was inaugurated on Saturday by Mayor Mumtaz Begum and Minister for Health and Family Welfare R Ashok has been partly funded by local corporator A H Basuvaraju. “Of the 230 odd lakes in the State, only 60 to 70 have survived. We need the lung space,” said Mr Ashok. While Mr Basuvaraju hopes to see the park transform into a tourist attraction.
