WITH the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) clearing distribution of 7003 sites at Arkav Layout under the second phase, civil works at the would begin in a weeks time.

Speaking to BBVVTT , BDA Commissioner M K Shankarlinge Gowda said, "Civil works under the se ond phase of the layout development would begin du ing next week. We have asked the contractor worked on the first phase of the layout developmen continue the civil works. More than 50 per cent o have agreed to it." "We have to calculate the remaining portions for f ther development. We need to quantify the work and assign it to them. If we find shortage of contract execute the work, we will club the packages," he a It may be recalled that civil works under the deve ment of first phase of the layout had been divided 22 packages.

Meanwhile, all the 7,003 applicants, who have been shortlisted for allotment of sites at Arkavathi La under the second phase, will be receiving their al ment letters in the next four to five days. Accord senior BDA official, so far, more than 1,000 lette been dispatched and the process was in progress.

"We do not want allottees to wait for long. We are ing to dispatch around 2,000 letters per day throu speed post and courier service," he added.
