“The study on the proposals for the creation of Greater Bangalore is under progress and a complete plan to facilitate its implementation will be submitted before the BMP elections in November,” Health Minister R Ashok said on Monday.

Speaking at a function Mr Ashok said the committee that has been formed under the chairmanship of Chief Minister H D Kumaaraswamy and it is examining the two proposals submitted for the creation of Greater Bangalore.

The first proposal is to divide Bangalore and its outskirts into two parts and the second option is to merge all CMCs into the existing BMP, he said.
