In the busy lanes of R V Road, Basavangudi, if one wants to taste Mangalorean food all hot and spicy, and feel at home choose Sea Rock, close to Bangalore Hospital.

Sea Rock, the two floor restaurant is serving some sought after Mangalorean food. The ten feet aquarium is the main attraction for kids.

With 22 years of experience, Ganesh Rao has set up quite a few hotels in the city and in its outskirts. The Sea Rock was first opened near Shivananda, and then expanded to Basavangudi.

“We focus on sea food because there is good demand for it” says Mr Ganesh Rao, proprietor.

The Sea Rock food offers varieties in soups and broths, Shuruaat (starters), Chinese Veg (starters), Tandoor Veg (starters), Non-vegetarian Chinese, Murgh-E-Hazakat, Gosht-E-Baharain, Indian and Mangalorean food.

The well-known Neer dosa and Nati Chicken Sukka tastes great. Tava Fish and Crab is hot and spicy and is for the spicy food lovers. Fish fry with raw masala is cooked with a few drops of coconut oil.

Mussel, Squid and Prawns masala are quite in demand. With old Hindi melodies one will enjoy the Mangalorean food.

Tandoori Pompret with mint chutney and salad is mouth-watering. Kori Roti and chicken sukka is another yummy food.

Palak rice is the pride of Sea Rock because it is their discovery. People prefer Palak rice than briyani, says Ganesh Rao. Dal Kichidi tastes almost like home food.
