CM TO INAUGURATE ANANDA RAO CIRCLE FLYOVER SHORTLY

THE much awaited flyover at the Ananda Rao Circle, one of the busiest intersections in the City , is ready to be thrown open to traffic by the weekend. Chief Minister H D K umaraswamy will inaugurate the flyover . The Ananda Rao Circle flyover is the first widest unidirectional flyover in the state built by the Bangalore Development Authority (BDA).

The Rs 27.6 crore project comprises five-lane undivided unidirectional flyover up to Ananda Rao Circle with a two-lane one way down ramp towards Basaveshwara Circle and four-lane one way flyover along Sheshadri Road crossing Ananda Rao Circle and Subbanna Circle.

The flyo ver , which was scheduled to be completed in N o vember last year , was delayed by three more months. "With the opening of the Ananda Rao Circle flyo ver , traffic congestion will be practically reduced to half thereby enabling easy mo vement of vehicles in surrounding junctions," BDA commissioner M N Vidyashankar told B BV VT T. .
