Sudden rain disrupts traffic

City receives 14.2 mm of rainfall on Friday evening

BANGALORE: Water logging on many roads following sudden showers on Friday evening affected movement of traffic.

There were also reports of a tree fall near Vidyapeetha Circle on Kathriguppe Main Road.

It started around 6 p.m. lasted almost three hours.

According to the Meteorological Department, the city received 14.2 mm of rainfall.

Traffic was affected near Kino Cinema following water logging at the under-bridge near the it.

Vehicular movement was also affected because of water logging at the under-bridge on that road.

A car was stuck in the slush near the under-bridge, where construction work is under way.

Movement of traffic was slow on many roads of the city, including Double Road, Palace Road and Sampige Road.
