Bangalore: In the last 24 hours, the city witnessed 59 mm of rain. As if avenging last week’s heat, the city recorded 17.6 mm of rain on Monday (till 8.30 am) and 41.4 mm of rain on Tuesday (till 5.30 pm).
With the onset of October, the general weather pattern that the city follows is sunshine followed by occasional showers. “Such will be the weather for the rest of month — sun followed by rain. The mornings will be either pleasant or sunny and showers and thunderstorms will follow in the latter hours of the day, thus bringing down the temperature,’’ the Met department said. The Bangalore City Corporation did not record any complaints of flooding, except a case of tree fall.
