Bangalore: A computer-operated parking system will come up in Gandhi Bazaar of Basavanagudi to accommodate 450 vehicles.

Basavanagudi MLA Chandrashekar said the five-storey building will also house BCC offices and shops. While the first two floors will be for the offices and shops, the third floor onwards will be for parking of vehicles.

The customer can select the duration for parking the vehicle, but if he exceeds the time limit, the computerised lift will automatically remove the vehicle and put it on the road.

There will be a total of five lifts and the building will have roads on all its sides. The building will be constructed in 18 months.
