CM urged to treat Jerome with respect

BANGALORE: The Concerned Citizens of Bangalore have appealed to Chief Minister Dharam Singh to recognise the services rendered by former BDA commissioner Jayakar Jerome and treat him with dignity and respect he deserves.

In a petition submitted to the CM, the Concerned Citizens said, despite his good work in the BDA, Jerome has been transferred to an insignificant post.

He is presently working as Secretary, Minorities Development Corporation.

The officer, the Citizens said, has transformed the loss-making BDA into a model government agency, which shaped modern Bangalore.

‘‘We would like to see an end to the harassment of Jerome,’’ they added.
