The new congestion spots

NEW CONGESTION SPOTS

1. Ashirvadam Circle to Opera junction on Residency Road:

Road from Richmond Circle-Cash Pharmacy junction and Ashirvadam Circle is wide, but narrows down between Ashirvadam Circle and Opera junction. This slows down traffic.

2. Commissariat Road near Mayo Hall:

Bus stop in front of Fire Force office and autorickshaw stand disturb free flow of traffic. Vehicles coming from M.G. Road (Webbs junction) and those proceeding towards Richmond Road have to take left turn near Mayo Hall and enter Commissariat Road to reach Richmond Road.

3. Avoiding one-way on Richmond, Residency roads:

Has increased burden on M.G. Road. Vehicles coming from Webbs junction and heading towards Richmond Road are not taking Commissariat Road, but keep on M.G. Road, and turn into Brigade Road to hit Richmond Road. Resulted in traffic jams on M.G. Road between Mayo Hall junction and Cauvery Handicrafts junction. Civil work and road digging have made matters worse. Those heading towards Richmond Road should plan their journey from Trinity junction itself.

4. Hosur Road-Johnson Market-Vellara junction:

This bottleneck is one even police are finding difficult to handle. The narrow road cannot take traffic coming from Bannerghatta Road, Wilson Garden and Koramangala.
