The Landmark Quiz 2004, Bangalore
India's Biggest and Most Respected Open Quiz, Now In Bangalore.
At this year's Landmark Quiz in Chennai, when all those in the audience who were first-time participants were asked to stand up, most of them were already standing because they were already standing outside the auditorium. And that includes the outstanding quizzers! With the Quiz in its inaugral year in Bangalore, you have the opportunity to start afresh, even if you have never been to Chennai.
For over a decade now, the Landmark Quiz in Chennai has been India's biggest and by far, the most popular Open Quiz. With the 2004 edition featuring over 1000 participating teams, the Landmark Quiz just keeps getting bigger and bigger.
For all those constantly on the look-out for fundas, and fundas delivered with a characteristic twist of humour, don't look beyond the finals of the Landmark Quiz and Quizmasters, Navin Jayakumar and Gautam Padmanabhan.

"What is the USP of the Landmark Quiz? The key idea is to attract the non-quizzer. In India, serious 'quizzers' consider themselves an elite community, adding their own distinct colour to the country's socio-cultural fabric!"
- Gautam and Navin.
The term "Open Quiz" should not serve as a deterrent to school teams, because the pattern of the Landmark Quiz is such that, year after year, some of the most enthusiastic participants at the Quiz have been school teams who have made it to the Finals and given other teams a run for their money. Besides, there's also a special prize for the Best Performing School Team in the Prelims.
In a time when self-indulgence seems to be the edict governing most quizzes, the Landmark Quiz stands out with its balance of the intricate and the simplistic. Every question in the Landmark QUiz is designed to be understood by a reasonably well-read person with an interest in General Knowledge. And it's the adamant inclusion of the simplistic that ensures there's something for all age groups to take back home, because somewhere down the line, most post-twenty quizzers tend to forget the fundas that can be derived from the simple.
Come, drink at the fountain of youth...
P.S. In case you are curious about the pattern of questions, the Penguin Landmark Quiz Book containing samples from the previous ten quizzes is available at all leading book stores.
