Another Mantri project to keep any eye on?

Images Retail, a magazine devoted to the retail industry has the "malling of India" as the theme of its October 2004 cover story. It describes an upcoming mall project by Mantri Group in HSR Layout/Koramangala to be spread over a humongous 14,00,000 sq. ft. of space.

The latest issue of Business Today carries a story on the boom in the retail industry in India and also speaks of a mall by the Mantri Group in HSR Layout/Koramangala spread over 18,00,000 sq. ft.

A bit of investigation on the internet revealed this
"The largest development of its kind in South India -1 Million SFT Mall, coming up at Koramangala, the most popular locale for Bangalore’s young upwardly mobile consumers, as well as start-up IT companies.

Spread over G+1½ floors, it is coming up on an 28 acre land parcel, which is part of a larger 85 acre Business Park. The Mall will have 2700+ dedicated Car Parks, with a frontage of 965 Feet on Sarjapur Road, facing Agara Lake, and is only ½ km before the Outer Ring Road"

Putting the three together, I think it is reasonable to conclude that we are talking about one and the same project. What is worrying is the proximity of this project to the Agara Lake. Therefore it would be advisable to keep an eye out on construction activity around the Agara Lake.
