Underpass opening postponed again

Inauguration of the underpass at Cauvery theatre junction being constructed by BBMP has been delayed by another two days. However, this time for a different reason.
According to sources in the Palike, Governor Rameshwar Thakur is not available on Monday for inauguration.
Now, the underpass will be formally dedicated to the public on Wednesday.
Chief Engineer (Major Roads) K S Krishna Reddy said “No matter when it is going to be inaugurated, we will make it ready for movement of vehicles by Monday. Only asphaltation work is left. It will be completed by Sunday.”
Chief Secretary Sudhakar Rao and Principal Secretary (Infrastructure) V P Baligar paid a visit to the work site on Saturday.
