Golf plan puts Sankey Tank on bad course

KSTDC's golf driving range plan at tank upsets residents

Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation's (KSTDC) proposal for a golf driving range at Sankey Tank has the locals seething in anger. KSTDC managing director Vinay Lutra says Sankey Tank and Ulsoor Lake are ideal locations to practise your shots and swing. In a sporting city that has many golf enthusiasts, Lutra says, it will be novel but a welcome move.
Residents and environmentalists, however, do not share Lutra's sporting spirit.
