Evening showers brought some respite to City dwellers reeling under sweltering heat on Tuesday.

The rains also disrupted vehicular movement in low-lying areas. People had a harrowing time wading through waters in a bid to reach their destinations.

According to Meteorological department, the City recorded 0.8 mm of light rain. Forecast for Wednesday is rain or thundershowers likely in some areas by evening. BBMP control room has not received any complaints of fallen trees or wall collapse.
