Layout plan case: Final hearing in HC on Oct 28

BANGALORE: The High Court has fixed October 28 as the final hearing date in the petitions challenging the Master Plan notification issued by the Urban Development Department to develop five layouts around the city.
The department had issued the notification on May 28 to develop layouts around Nelamangala, Anekal, Magadi, Kanakapura and Hoskote.
A writ petition was filed opposing the notification. The petitioners stated that the department had notified according to the original plan and hasdignored the changes proposed by the cabinet and Governor.
Justice Nagamohan Das fixed October 28 as the final hearing date in the case.
HC admits writ against BDA
The High Court on Monday issued notice to Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) following a writ petition filed by one C M Narasaiah over the Arkavathy Layout issue.
BDA had acquired 1.29 acres of Narasaiah’s land in Survey No 2/1 of Sampigehalli village for forming Arkavathy Layout.
Narasaiah filed a writ petition requesting the court to direct BDA to exclude his land from the proposed layout as the land did not come under the layout plan.
