Chief Minister Yeddyurappa on Tuesday said the State Government will support the proposed Chennai-Ban galore high speed rail (bullet train service) only if the Railway Ministry accepts to extend the service till Mumbai via Hubli, besides giving an additional link to Mysore.
In a letter to Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, the CM said the State Government had suggested the Centre to extend the high speed rail link from Bangalore to Hubli with an additional link to Mysore.
But the Railways have again proposed this service between Chennai-Bangalore and Bangalore-Ern- akulam in the budget. This will help only the people of Tamil Nadu and Kerala to come to Bangalore and wi- ll not help the people of Karnataka. The project has to be modified, CM stated.
