You can now get all the information you want on the city’s infrastructure at the click of a mouse. All you need to do is log on to www.nammabengaluru.co m, a website designed and created by Infosys CEO/MD and CFO Mohandas Pai.

The site, which will go on the Net by next week, will have details of ongoing infrastructure projects and about those in the pipe-line. It will have updates on flyovers, roads under construction, underpasses, road underbrigdes and overbridges, and water supply and sanitary lines at regular intervals.

“The idea of starting this website is to keep Bengalureans informed about the growth of their city. All information about the projects with latest pictures of them will be uploaded on the website which will be updated once in 15 days. Project drawings, plans, status, cost, deadline, and date of completion will be provided,” explains one of the committee members of the nammabengaluru website, M.N. Srihari.

“Pictures showing the status of the ongoing projects will be updated twice in a month. People will be given a showcase of all the ongoing projects to see for themselves how focused the government is,” adds Mr. Sri hari. The nammabengaluru website will be interactive allowing people to write their comments and suggestions on it as well. The traffic police, BBMP, BDA, BMLTA, BMRDA, BWSSB and Bescom are stakeholders in the website.

“The site has been designed and created by Infosys CEO/MD and CFO Mohandas Pai. The portal has been started and we are already working on the site’s content. A meeting with CM B.S. Yeddyurappa has been called on January 16 during which other details of the website will be worked out,” adds Mr Srihari. The expert committee will look into modifying and remodelling it whenever required.
