Groups from multinational companies are taking initiatives and cleaning their locality parks on weekends. It is a source of motivation for general public to participate in the activities and help in maintaining a clean environment, said Pramod Goni, coordinator, Janaagraha Centre for Citizenship and Democracy.

Speaking at a forum ‘Garbage City or Garden City’, organised here on Saturday to discuss waste management, Mr Goni said active groups from the corporate world are ensuring cleanliness of lakes and tanks in the city. Bal Bhavan is being maintained by the government agencies and citizens, a participant said.
