More trees to be felled for Tagore Circle underpass

The traffic police will introduce diversions in and around Basavanagudi as the BBMP is set to start work on an underpass at Tagore circle shortly.

The diversions in the area will be as follows: Vehicles moving towards Jayanagar from Bull temple will have to take a left turn near Ramakrishna Ashram, travel over the flyover, then turn right near Sheshmahal circle and reach South-end circle through Kanakapura road, Home School Circle and Patalamma Temple road to reach Jayanagar.

Vehicles travelling north on KR road to reach Jayanagar, JP Nagar, NR colony, Tyagarajnagar and Banashankari can take a left turn at National College Circle, reach Sheshamahal Circle and from there to South-end circle. From Bengaluru south, vehicles heading towards City Market, Majestic, Chamarajpet, Vijayanagar can travel via market road at Diwan Madhav (DM) circle, reach Gandhi Bazar road and reach Ramakrishna Ashram circle and take the Bull Temple road. BMTC buses can reach Sheshmahal on DM road, take a left turn, travel on the flyover before reaching Ramakrishna Ashrama junction.

Vehicles travelling to Basavanagudi through Patalamma temple street can take a left turn to DM road at Armugam circle or can travel on Kanakapura road to reach Sheshamahal circle, take a left and travel on the VV Puram road.

The exact date of beginning of construction will be announced in couple of days said Panduranga H Rane, DCP (West Traffic).
