Underpass partially opened for traffic

EASING TRAFFIC: The flyover at the CBI Junction which was partially thrown open to traffic in Bangalore on Sunday.

Bangalore: The Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) on Saturday partially opened for traffic the underpass being built at CBI Junction on Bellary Road.

Thus movement of vehicles from Hebbal Flyover towards Mehkri circle has become easy with the opening of the upper portion of the underpass.

Works on the remaining potion of the underpass, connecting R.T. Nagar from Bellary Road through the underpass, and the service road on other side, is likely to be completed by the end of this week. The work on the underpass, which commenced in June, was delayed due to frequent spells of rain.
