Commute to BIA: More options for passengers
DH News Service, Bangalore:

Travel weary Bangaloreans now have yet another option to commute to the Bengaluru International Airport at Devanahalli.

Another private city based travel operator - ‘Airlift’ - has launched a commuting service to the airport, with an aim to provide people freedom from the travel blues. With a fleet of 30 cars, equipped with GPS and monitored from a central control room, the service has been started from five routes.

Om Prakash, managing partner of Airlift said, “Airport passengers can avail the service by calling the 24/7 call centre 98450 47788 or by logging on to www.airliftonline.com for bookings through credit or debit card. You can also send an SMS to 54545.”

The service, made available on Toyota Innova vehicles, can cost you Rs 300 for one-way travel. The return journey facility is available for Rs 450 per person as opposed to fares between Rs 750 to Rs 1000 by a city taxi, adds Mr Om Prakash.

Airlift coupons will be available at Nilgiri outlets.
