Bangalore: Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) has set up a control room at the BDA head office premises to help citizens, living in areas under BDA jurisdiction, affected by floods and other rain-related problems. The control room will be manned under supervision of an assistant executive engineer through the day.
Commissioner Siddaiah has instructed identification of flood-prone areas under BDA jurisdiction and entrusted the work of de-silting of drains, de-clogging and repairing of culverts and roads so that rainwater smoothly flows away. A task force to take up work upon emergency calls has been formed under supervision of T D Nanjundappa, engineer officer. This task force will attend to relief work upon receiving calls from citizens.
