Trumpet interchange to be ready by month-end

Bangalore: The trumpet interchange being built on National Highway 7 to connect it with Devanahalli would be ready by March 30, K.V. Rangaswamy, head of L&T’s ECC Division, said on Friday.

Talking to presspersons on the sidelines of the final flight trial at the new airport developed by the Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL), Mr. Rangaswamy said that the company is making all efforts to complete the work on construction of interchange, which is crucial to have easy approach to airport from the highway.
Rs. 800 crore

He said the BIAL would be investing about Rs. 800 crore for expanding the airport in second phase.

Some of the facilities that were part of phase-II were combined with the first phase, Mr. Rangaswamy added.

L&T, one of the partners of the BIAL, is carrying out all the civil works at the airport site.
