BANGALORE: The ‘instant underpass’ at Cauvery junction would be completed by Wednesday. If it really happens, the work would have taken three days short of a month.

Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) had promised to complete it in 72 hours. First it was water supply lines that were broken, inundating the construction site and then the project hit a rock.

The Palike did not foresee such blocks and had to wait till the moisture was removed. Chief Engineer Krishna Reddy told this website's newspaper that unexpected rains on Saturday have again increased the moisture and it was difficult to make approach roads. Asphalting work requires dry conditions, he said."
