Water supply to be hit for three days

There will be disruption in water supply in many parts of the City from November 28 to 30 as BWSSB will take up work on its new supply line at T K Halli.


According to a BWSSB press release, after the formation of BBMP, the BWSSB has the responsibility of supplying water to the extended areas also. In this connection as a first phase of work, water would be supplied to 72 wards in the 7 former CMC areas from December.

This would involve linking of new supply line to the Cauvery water supply at T K Halli and requires a shut down to carry out the operation. A 24 hours shut down will be taken on the 1915 mm gravity main of Cauvery water supply scheme, stage IV, phase-1 starting from 8 am on November 27 to 8 am the following day. Due to this water supply would be disrupted from November 28 to 30 in the following parts of the city:

West Division: Nagarabavi all stages, Chandra Layout, Vijayanagar, Hampi Nagar, R R Nagar, Kengeri, West of Chord Road 2nd stage, Basaveshwaranagar, Nandini Layout, Rajajinagar 2nd stage, Mahalakshmi Layout, Magadi Road.

North Division: Sahakarnagar, Byatarayanapura, Yelahanka, part of Vidhyaranyapura, Dasarahalli, part of Jalahalli, HMT, Siddarathnagar.

East Division: Konena Agrahara, BDA Layout, HAL factory, Defence quarters at Marathahalli, AECS Layout, Garudacharpalya, Mahadevapura, B-Naraynapura, KIADB area, ITPL.

South-East Division: Nanjareddy Colony, Murugesh Palya, Vinayaka Layout, part of Domlur, Amarjoythi Layout, Domestic Campus, ISRO, NAL, Kodihalli, IIM, Airport, Koramangala I Block, Teachers’ Colony, Jakkasandra Extension, CPWD Quarters, KSRP Quarters up to IV Block, HSR Layout.

South Division: BTM Layout, JP Nagar, Maruthinagar, Vijaya Bank Layout, Electronic City.

Central Division: Okalipuram.
