Project Update: BETL

HOSUR ROAD EXPRESSWAY 9 MONTHS TO GO
Land for ramp acquired
TIMES NEWS NETWORK

Bangalore: The problem of land acquisition in Electronics City Phase-I — to build the ramp that leads into it — appears to have been sorted out.
One company had raised objections, but the high court dismissed the writ petition a couple of weeks ago, said an official of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). Heavy rain in the past two months has caused some “minor slippages’’ in targets, but the project will be completed on time, he said.
The first set of spans for the expressway have been built. A third gantry to build spans is expected to be commissioned in the next two weeks.
Most people appear to have given up on the PWD’s efforts to divert heavy vehicles from Hosur Road, by upgrading the road connecting Attibele junction on Hosur Road to Sarjapur Road and Dommansandra.
