Nandi Hills to get Rs 100-cr boost
Bangalore, DHNS:

Nandi Hills will be developed into a beautiful tourist spot at a cost of Rs 100 crore, Tourism Department Secretary I M Vittala Murthy has said.

Speaking at an interactive meeting organised by FKCCI here on Tuesday, he said the project will kickstart soon after the approval from the government.

He sought private participation for developing tourist spots.

He expressed dissatisfaction over poor financial support from the government for tourism.

When FKCCI pointed out at the poor state of roads in tourist spots, Mr Murthy said they do not come under the jurisdiction of tourism department. It is the responsibility of public works department, he said.
