BANGALORE: The Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI) expressed its concern about the connectivity to the upcoming international airport.
The FKCCI felt that the connectivity should be provided by the State Government. The FKCCI felt that the State government must speed up the connectivity work to BIAL, specially the roads and also other infrastructure facilities.
In a press statement FKCCI mentioned that the illequipped connectivity would put passengers to a lot of hardship to reach the airport, thus demeaning the concept of world-class airport facility in the city.
A 42-member delegation of the FKCCI visited the Bangalore International Airport Limited at Devanahalli, on Saturday.
BIAL chief project officer Sivaramakrishnan Iyer briefed the delegation about the progress of the project, including the various aspects and facilities provided by the airport.
He promised that works at BIAL were in pace and the operations will begin in April 2008 as scheduled.
