BANGALORE: IT chiefs, who met Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy on Wednesday demanded that the design of the elevated expressway being constructed from Silk Board Junction to the Electronics City be changed for the convenience of the IT professionals.

They argued that the first ramp of the expressway be lowered at the entrance of the HP Company at the Electronics City since, according to them, the present design would cause inconvenience to the motorists driving to the Electronics City.

The Chief Minister while declining to comment on the demand, assured the IT people that he would take up the matter with the union surface transport ministry as the expressway belonged to national highways authority. He is said to have expressed his reservation over the demand as the work on the expressway had begun long ago.
