BANGALORE: The BMTC driver’s negligence led to the mishap which claimed the life of a scooterist on Monday evening at Cauvery Theatre Junction.

According to the BMTC mechanic who examined the bus, there was absolutely no problem with the bus. ‘‘We checked the vehicle on Monday night soon after the incident. There was no problem with the bus,’’ the mechanic said adding that they conduct daily check-ups and rectify problems, if any.
