BANGALORE: Five motorists, including two women, sustained injuries in a serial mishap involving a BMTC bus, two mopeds, a Scorpio and an autorickshaw on Monday night, in the Sadashivanagar traffic police limits.

The bus coming from Mekhri Circle towards the city rammed into the vehicles near the Cauvery theatre junction on the Bangalore-Bellary Main Road, injuring the motorists.

The injured are admitted to M S Ramaiah hospital.

The injured are identified as Suchitra, 21, BE student, Nethravathi, 28, IBM employee, Vairamudi, 25, auto driver (all three from City), Gurupadaswamy, 58 (native of Andhra Pradesh) and Prakash, 34, of Jamakandi.

The condition of Suchitra, resident of Basaweshwaranagar, is very critical and is kept under observation. The other injured except Nethravathy have sustained multiple fractures and are responding to treatment, said DCP-Traffic East, Madhukar Shetty.
