Raagam Sisters will give a concert at Gayana Samaja
BANGALORE: "Bengalooru Habba 2006" will switch to top gear on Monday with a classical Hindustani flute recital by Pravin Godkhindi and classical Hindustani vocal by Kaushik Chakravarty at the Ambedkar Bhavan at 6.30 p.m. Here is a complete programme list for Monday:
At Gayana Samaja, catch a Carnatic concert by the Raagam Sisters from 6.30 p.m.; classical music and dance by Yamini Muthanna and Shobana (Bharatanatyam) at Chowdiah Memorial Hall (6.30 p.m.); a play "The Chairs" directed by Atul Kumar at J.S.S. Auditorium (6.30 p.m.); Suvarna Karnataka Haadu by IDL Blind Band of visually challenged children at Samsa Auditorium (6.30 p.m.).
Yuva Sangeethotsava
At Nayana Auditorium, the following programmes are arranged: Yuva Sangeethotsava, Carnatic vocal by Amrutha Venkatesh (3.30 p.m.); Carnatic vocal by Manasi Prasad (4.30 p.m.); Hindustani vocal by Rajashekhar Mansoor (6.30 p.m.) and clarion recital by Narasahimalu Vadavatti (7.30 p.m.).
Vachana Sangeetha
At Ravindra Kalakshetra, the programmes for Monday are: Vachana Sangeetha by Somanath Mardur and party (2 p.m.); by Sangeetha Kakadanki (3 p.m.); by Ganesh Desai (4 p.m.); by Dr. Shivanand Patil (5 p.m.); by Sripada Hegade (6.30 p.m.) and by Venkatesh Kumar (8 p.m.). A theatre performance by Shiva Sharane Akka Maha Devi is arranged at Town Hall (6.30 p.m.).
A Yoga demonstration at Lakshmi Devi Park, Koramangala; Street theatre at BDA Park, Banashankari 2nd Stage and "Street Magic" at Indiranagar Park, 5th Cross; Swami Vivekananda Park, Rajajinagar; Bavi Park, Jayanagar 4th Block; Sankey Park, Sadashivanagar and Rani Park, Wilson Garden (all at 5 p.m.) will add to the fun.
Comedy
Check out Sugama Sangeetha and comedy at RPC Layout Park Vijayanagar, Rajarajeswarinagar Park and Sundara Nagar Park Mathikere (5 p.m.).
Café Coffee Day outlets will host Music Espresso from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. This will include Jazz, Rock and Blues musicians and caricature artists.
Chitrakala Parishat will host an exhibition and sale of handicrafts from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. while St. George's Square, Cubbon Park, will have a folk and tribal visual art exhibition from noon.
