Peripheral road in just one month
The Times of India

Bangalore: Keeping its promise, the Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprises (NICE), promoters of Bangalore-Mysore Infrastructure Corridor (BMIC) project, has taken up rehabilitation works for Somapura villagers.
The peripheral road, connecting Kanakapura Road and Mysore Road, cuts through Somapura. During the project implementation, NICE had assured the villagers to provide better facilities. The villagers
were also told that they won’t be displaced. Today, their huts are being converted into pucca houses ranging from 750, 1,000 and 1,500 sq mts.
In another month, NICE plans to officially throw open 32 km stretch connecting Hosur Road; Bannerghatta Road; Kanakapura Road and Mysore Road. However, commuters have to pay to use this highspeed world-class road. Toll collection centres are being built.
A corporate office to monitor hassle-free drive has also been constructed near the clover leaf. In addition, NICE has pressed in a few highway patrol vehicles, which will help and guide the commuters.
