BANGALORE: Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BMP) Commissioner K Jairaj said that every second Saturday evening they would be organising ‘Udyanavanadalli Sandhyaraaga’, a music programme, at BMP parks.

According to a release, the programmes are being organised to commemorate the State’s Golden Jubliee. They will last for one hour between 5 pm and 6 pm, in all the major parks in three zones of the city.

Compositions related to the state, its language and culture would be performed. Various troupes are expected to participate every month.

Jairaj said a discussion was conducted under the guidance of Mayor Mumtaz Begaum. BMP officials and staff will take part in the programmes. The first programme will start on October 14.

Mayor Mumtaz Begaum, Leader of the Oppositon B R Nanjundappa and Deputy Mayor M Lakshminarayan will inaugurate the programmes.
