According to a press release issued by the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) the bundh led to cancellation of operations in Belgaum, Bagalkot, Bijapur and Chikkodi (Belgaum district).

There was partial operations in Hubli-Dharwad, Gadag and Sirsi. In north-east Karnataka only about 60 buses were allowed to function.

The buses were allowed to ply, on advice by the local police.

Bundh effect

A KSRTC bus coming to Bangalore from Shirdi was stopped at Tumkur.

As no buses or other means of transport was available, passengers from this bus had to take the train to Bangalore.

In another case, stone pelting incidents damaged a volvo bus at Nelamangala and one express bus at Kunigal in Tumkur district.
