BANGALORE: The commissioner of Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BMP) K Jairaj inspected the roads in west zone and instructed officials to clear the road side vendors who had encroached upon side walks opposite City Railway Station.

He also inspected JC Road, SJP Road, Mysore Road, Goods Shed Road, Platform Road, Sampige Road, Tumkur Road, Kanteerava Stadium Road and Chord Road. He cross checked if the roads had proper kerb stones, kerb paint and green cover.

Jairaj asked the officials to remove the wall posters, banners and wall paints in the zone.

He inspected Margosa Road in Malleswaram and ordered reconstruction of drains and side walks. Karnataka Land Army Corporation was entrusted to carry out the work.

The commissioner observed that the Suvarna Bangalore programmes did not show satisfactory progress. He instructed the divisional officers to execute all the programmes by end of this month.
