BANGALORE: Autorickshaw drivers in the City will stage a demonstration in front of the Bangalore Urban Deputy Commissioner’s Office in the city on September 23 to protest introduction of separate lane system for them.

“The new system is creating problems for both us and also to other vehicles, as proper planning and arrangements have not been made before introducing such a system,” said Autorickshaw Drivers Union Working President Srinivas Murthy.

The new system, he said, is creating problem for autorickshaw drivers on KG Road, near Cauvery Bhavan and on many other roads as it has become very difficult for them to take a turn. They, however, are not against the new system but are demanding the police to make suitable changes in it.

On Sept 23, the union members will stage a demonstration and submit a memorandum to the DC.
