Bangalore: In the year of Suvarna Karnataka, the BMP has an offering — the Kempe Gowda museum. The museum would be housed at Mayo Hall on M G Road.
At a meeting here on Thursday between the BMP and eminent Bangaloreans, including historian Suryanath Kamath, writer Chidanand Murthy, former mayors and freedom fighters, it was decided to finally expedite work on a museum at Mayo Hall called Kempe Gowda museum.
Incidentally, this proposal has been hanging fire for over two years now.
BMP commissioner K Jairaj has called for a meeting on Friday to decide on a committee of experts who would suggest what would go into the museum.
The museum will document Bangalore’s history, including scriptures and inscriptions.
