The Parisara Parampara Trust, Freedom Fighters’ Association Parivarthana Trust, and environmentalists held a protest in front of the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) office on Church Street, on Wednesday, against the alleged violation of the Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP) of Urban Development by Adarsha Developers, Adarsha Prime Projects Private Ltd, while constructing an Information Technology Park (IT park) near the outer ring road in Bangalore East Taluk.

The construction work had begun on sites earmarked for civic amenities (CA) and a green park. The developers have been allotted 32 acres and 21 guntas of land by KIADB of various survey numbers at Devarabeesanahalli, Doddakanahalli and Bhoganahalli of Varthur Hobli, Bangalore East Taluk, they added.

They also said that the Developer had neither obtained clearance from the Ministry of Environment and Forest, Govt of India nor No Objection Certificates (NoC) from KSPCB and the Department of Ecology and Environment before commencing construction activity.

KSPCB Chairman Bhoomanand Mane who accepted the memorandum said an inspection would be conducted and if any violation of the CDP was found, suitable action would be taken.
