NICE sources reveal they have more than sufficient evidence to prove ‘contempt of court’ by certain politicians by speaking against the earlier SC rulings.

Days after the government filed a review petition in the Supreme Court against Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprise (NICE) regarding the Bangalore-Mysore Infrastructure Corridor project, NICE is getting its defence ready.

And thanks to the dramatic twists and turns unfolding in the Legislative Assembly over the issue, NICE sources reveal they have more than sufficient evidence to prove ‘contempt of court’ by certain politicians by speaking against the earlier SC rulings.

NICE has recorded in two CDs, all the discussions held in the legislature, using the live telecast by Doordarshan Chandana channel. According to a NICE official, a few MLAs have made damning statements like “Supreme Court judges are not above suspicion.” They have quoted remarks supposedly made by SC Chief Justice Barucha in a speech, where he stated that 10 per cent of SC judicial officers are corrupt, the NICE official said.

“One of the MLAs even said - Who knows, maybe the three judges who gave a verdict against the Karnataka government belong to the 10 per cent,” the official said.
