Bangalore: The Police Commissioner has urged the public to avail of the ’complaint card’ facility from the City traffic police in the wake of increase in the misbehaviour of autorickshaw drivers.

The complaint card will enable the police to take stringent actions against autorickshaw drivers who misbehave with passengers or demand excess fare, tamper with meters, drive dangerously , refuse to ply on some destinations or take strangers in their vehicles.

The Commissioner r egr etted the facility was not being used extensively b y the public though it has been kept at various shopping complexes, all traffic police stations and the offices of two traffic DCP s .

He has also requested the public to write their complaints in detail to help the police take necessary action against erring drivers.

The complaint cards should be submitted at the office of DCP , T raffic (East), No 1, Infantry Road. Auto display cards: Meanwhile, the last date for putting up display cards on the rear of the autorickshaw driver has been set at April 15.

The display cards are available at ACP , T raffic, No 5, Infantry Road, Fraser T own traffic police station, Adugodi traffic police station, Y eshwantpur traffic police station, Upparpet traffic police station and Chamarajpet traffic police station.
