BMP elated at success of pothole farce

Bangalore: Day 8 of the ambitious ‘spot a pothole’ contest was dampener. All of Monday saw exactly one complaint being received from a citizen at Indiranagar. The complainant said a pothole of the specifications laid down by the BMP, 20x20, 5 cm in depth was located just in front of Pai Departmental stores. The east zone which received the call threw up their hands saying, “This road has not been identified and listed as part of the 142 roads open for the competition.’’ With this “success’’ rate, (of no rewards being doled out so far) the BMP plans to add 50 additional roads in the next 10 days declaring it as pothole-free.
